I’m in my late twenties, I fell in love, got married, and have three children. All boys. (Sigh.) I guess my story is a pretty common story for women, and I value my motherhood job too much to say I regret it.

I have 1 sister and a half brother.  My sister and I are very close.  She is one of the few people in this world who know just about everything there is to know about me, and she still loves me.  She is truly my closest friend and  one of the most treasured relationships I have.

Currently my mother, Nina, is fighting a losing battle against laryngeal cancer.  One of mom’s favorite things to do is cook.  I guess I got my passion from her.  As a young child she would take the time to cook and treat my sister and me to delicate dishes.  Although I rarely got to spend time in the kitchen cooking with her, I still enjoy some of her traditions with my family.  You will find a number of her recipes throughout the site.
